Dear Sarah,
I just came across your blog for the first time and wanted to tell you how much I’m loving it! My husband of 4 years and I live in Norwich, England but we had our own budget wedding at city hall in SF in 2006.
Everyone should have the wedding they want, and I always think it’s a little sad when I hear people who are planning a wedding talk about the stuff they are ‘having to do’ because parents or magazines tell them they need to. I love your posts about your plans and think your wedding sounds wonderfully individual
I adored our City Hall venue, even that the staircase wasn’t private, but the gallery that you’ve booked looks beautiful, and perfect for a group of guests. My wedding could not have been more perfect and I hope yours is too!
I also wanted to say that your post about not having a Life List really moved me. Your attitude to life is inspiring. I’ve done the job to pay the mortgage, fought the depression, might well yet lose the house, don’t spend enough time being creative and constantly feel like I should have ‘the list’ and be accomplishing more. But you know what, you’re right. I don’t want or need a life list and I’m realising that it’s about just living and being thankful for the people in your life and that often it’s about the things, places and the people that would never have been on the list in the fist place.
Thanks for writing your blog and sharing your experiences, I’ll definitely be checking in on them regularly.
Debs

Hi Sarah,
I’ve been following your blog for a couple of months (I found it right before I got married in July) and so much of what you and Tony write really resonates with me.

I just stumbled upon your blog. I am marrying my boyfriend (his first, my second) at City Hall in June. I have two children and could not be happier that I found your blog. Serendipity, I guess. Thank you for sharing your life and thoughts. jessica friedman
